Safety

When set up and cared for correctly, inflatables are a very safe means of entertainment for any age group. At Fair Play, we follow strict rules to ensure the safety of anyone using our equipment, below are just some of the methods we make sure we are certain that each item is safe;

WARNING: At Fair Play we take upmost care to ensure we cover EVERY safety aspect when hiring out our equipment. All our members of staff are fully trained in castle & supervision safety and we adhere to all regulations set out by BIHA (British Inflatable Hirers Alliance) & TIPE (The Inflatable Play Enterprise). Beware that sometimes a cheaper alternative can mean a bypass of such procedures & always remember never to put a price on your childs' safety.

  • We will choose an appropriate site for a castle, we also employ additional measures such as cushioning hard ground at the open side.
  • A fully trained member of staff will inspect each castle or ride to a rigorous safety checklist upon setup and take down. This ensures that our equipment is always safe when hired to customers, any faults are rectified before any equipment is permitted to be hired out.
  • While mooring our castles, pegs of at least a foot long are used to meet regulation standard. NEVER hire an inflatable without means of anchorage if the inflatable is for outdoor use! Should you hire from Fair Play this will never be a problem.
  • We will always place impact absorbing mats positioned at the open side of our castles, extending a sufficient distance forward to ensure sufficient protection
  • We always employ a maximum number of children that can be safely accommodated on any castle or ride at any one time. This will be influenced by the age and size of the children who are to use the inflatable.
  • We use perimeter fencing to protect children from hazards such as generators & blowers.
  • When appropriate, a responsible, first aid trained adult will supervise and manage children at all times.
  • Our supervisors implement rota systems which avoid the mixing of different ages or sizes and also stop overcrowding.
  • Our supervisors or the adult supervising in the event of a private hire, will ensure an appropriate behaviour of children (Children should not climb on walls, attempt acrobatics e.g. somersaults, or take food or drink onto an inflatable).
